Chosen Vision benefits from Lansing Christian School (LCS) Service Week. “Wow, what a volunteer work program LCS has”, board member Bob Tallian said. “The LCS group was out for three days painting and cleaning Chosen Vision, our group home in Grand Ledge. What they accomplished in those three days would have taken us three months”. Activities included painting two of the residents rooms, power washing the vinyl siding and deck, planting shrubbery and general overall “spring cleanup”. Service Week gives LCS students an opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom by meeting the needs of others. Joann Gould, Chosen Vision’s House Manager, said “teaching children to give of themselves is a labor of love. I was personally blessed to work with such an awesome group of kids… the whole experience brought tears to my eyes”.
