For over 80 years, the Peters & Murray Funeral Home has been serving families in the Greater Grand Ledge Community. Originally established in 1922 by Mr. and Mrs. Russell Smith, the Smith Funeral Home was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Leslie R. Peters in 1938. They operated the Peters Funeral Home until 1960, at which time Tom and Phyllis Murray became associates. The name was changed to Peters & Murray Funeral Home in 1965 when the Murrays became partners in the business.
